Changes in legislation such as the Energy Performance Building Directive (EPBD), and the Carbon reduction Commitment (CRC) are mandatory schemes designed to cap energy use buildings.
These are just the tip of the iceberg with European Energy standards increasingly placing pressure on both the building owner and occupier to manage and maintain their buildings to the highest standards. TEST provides a suite of software and hardware solutions that are designed to maximise control whilst minimising investment. Future standards such as BS EN 16001 Energy Management Systems, will provide guidance to help the building owner or occupier to fully understand their energy usage and target those areas of waste.
Working to CIBSE guidance document, TM39: 2006 for Building Energy Metering, TEST can provide an energy sub-metering strategy for the simplest to the most demanding of buildings.
Toolkits such as TM31: 2006 Building Log Book, as described under Building regulations Part L: 2006, requires building owners to provided information about new or refurbished buildings, their building services and maintenance requirements in a building log book. They should also provide a means to record the energy use and maintenance of the services within the building.
